Ten out of twelve
If you told me two weeks ago, just after the Manchester City game, that we were going to grab ten points from a possible twelve, I would have thought you were bonkers.

What a phenomenal fortnight it has been for West Ham! Three wins on the trot, just after putting in a defensive masterpiece against the league leaders (at the time of writing) and holding Chelsea to a 0-0 draw.
Not only have we managed to bag a healthy amount of points in such a short period of time, but we have also racked up a creditable thirteen clean sheets; the highest in the Premier League.
Although we are sitting in – a usually comfortable – tenth place, we must not become complacent. Only a mere eight points separates us from twentieth-placed Fulham. It is a battlefield in the bottom half of the league; a loss against Southampton and we could be in the midst of it once again.
That said, I can see us coming away from St Mary’s with at least a point. When you are on a run like we are, you become extremely hard to break down and luck always seems to be on your side.
Get a good result against The Saints and then we will have Andy Carroll back for (hopefully) the remainder of the season. Whilst we have been doing well lately, it has been painfully obvious just how much of a difference Andy Carroll makes to our activity in the opposition’s half.
With Carroll back, and if our back line continues to stay as solid as they have been recently, I expect us to make up some ground on Newcastle who are just above us.
Oh and also: Big Sam. Credit where credit is due. Come on you Irons!
