Has a Team Ever Gone Undefeated the Whole Season?
The first team to have a perfect season during the NFL’s Super Bowl era was the 1972 Miami Dolphins. Even though this team had three exhibition losses before the regular season, the ’72 Dolphins went undefeated and untied throughout the regular season and even went on to win Super Bowl VII.
Although other NFL teams have gone undefeated during the regular season, none of them were able to go undefeated past the post-season.

Of all the NFL’s 16 divisions, the NFC East has won the most Super Bowls of any division in either NFL conference.
Since the division was formed after the 1970 NFL merger, each team has achieved all of the league’s biggest accomplishments. All four teams in the NFC East have won the Super Bowl. The division as a whole has accumulated a total of 21 NFC Championship titles and 13 Super Bowl victories.
