Wayne Rooney not signing for PSG according to Ferguson
There is plenty of speculation that Wayne Rooney will leave Manchester United this summer, although it appears that the England forward remains part of Sir Alex Ferguson’s plans.

Rooney has had an erratic season and was left out of the United team that faced Real Madrid in the Champions League last month, fuelling rumours that the 27-year-old could be set for a move to Paris Saint-Germain.
However, while the bookies make PSG the favourites to sign the striker this summer, Sir Alex Ferguson scoffed at the suggestion that he would allow the player to leave, with the manager explaining why Rooney was withdrawn during the second half of Wednesday’s match against West Ham.
“I don’t think there is anything in that at all” Ferguson said in response to a French comment regarding the transfer being a “done deal”.
“I couldn’t tell you about that [contract talks],” he said.
“As far as taking him off the other night it was simple – he wasn’t playing as well as Shinji Kagawa was.
“In so many games Wayne Rooney is better than most players. But on the night Shinji was playing so well.”
Rooney has been playing in a deeper midfield role for United in recent weeks, with Ferguson praising the forward’s contribution at Stoke on Sunday, although whether the two parties will agree a new contract this summer remains to be seen.
