Wayne Rooney looking to force £30m move from Manchester United to Chelsea
Chelsea only have eyes for Wayne Rooney, although Manchester United remain resolute in their desire to keep the forward despite David Moyes essentially outlining that the player is required as cover for Robin van Persie.

Rooney had hoped that United would allow him to leave for Stamford Bridge without the England striker needing to formally lodge a transfer request, although it appears that now might be required after the Red Devils rejected a £30m bid from Chelsea on Monday.
While his United team-mates head to Stockholm to play AIK in a friendly, Rooney is apparently nursing a slight shoulder injury, something which follows the hamstring strain that has prevented him from featuring during pre-season.
It will be interesting to see whether the player features for England against Scotland next week, although Rooney is apparently looking to submit his official transfer request before the game takes place, with the 27-year-old no longer interested in being a Manchester United player.
Sir Alex Ferguson revealed at the end of last season that Rooney had asked to leave the club, although Moyes’ stance has always been that the player is not for sale. In addition to Van Persie, the only other striking options at the club are Javier Hernandez and Danny Welbeck.
