Following a slender 1-0 win at Birmingham in their opening game, Watford put Bournemouth to the sword in their first home match of the season, with a deluge of goals in the second half including a Troy Deeney hat-trick leading to a 6-1 winning scoreline.

Blackpool have also secured two wins from their opening pair of matches, following up a 3-1 win at Doncaster with a 1-0 victory against Barnsley who are pointless after two games. Scott Wiseman’s own goal in the last minute denied the Tykes a point at Bloomfield Road.

Ipswich Town got off the mark thanks to a 3-0 win against Millwall, while Burnley secured a 2-1 win at Sheffield Wednesday thanks to goals from Danny Ings and Sam Vokes, leaving the Owls at the foot of the table.

Derby County came from behind to win 2-1 at Brighton thanks to a brace from Chris Martin, while Queens Park Rangers sealed a 1-1 draw at Huddersfield after Junior Hoilett cancelled out James Vaughan’s opener.

Lucas Jutkiewicz scored the only goal of the match at The Valley and it’s now three in three for the Middlesbrough striker as Charlton were left searching for their first points of the season, while Nottingham Forest scored a late winner at Ewood Park to beat Blackburn 1-0.
