“Manchester United’s experienced players deserve credit” says Bryan Robson
Robson full of praise after United's weekend win

Former Red Devils captain Bryan Robson has stated that Manchester United’s experienced players are fully deserving of praise for the side’s recent turnaround in fortunes.
Numerous injuries have blighted the squad and manager Louis van Gaal has been forced to use numerous untested youngsters in their victories over Shrewsbury Town in the FA Cup, FC Midtjylland in the Europa League and the recent 3-2 Premier League win over Arsenal.
Following the latter result which lifted United into fifth position in the league table, Robson highlighted the contribution that the more mature squad members have made recently.
“The way the young players have come in and performed for the last couple of games is terrific for the club and terrific for the young lads but my feelings are that the experienced players deserve a lot of credit as well,” the former skipper said to the official website.
“I just thought that, considering all the injuries we’ve got, all the experienced lads were excellent yesterday. David De Gea, Michael Carrick, Daley Blind, Ander Herrera, Juan Mata and Morgan Schneiderlin – they all put in good performances.
“I thought all of those lads had really good games, which created a good, steady centre of the field and a platform for the young boys to go and inject their energy and enthusiasm into the game. It shouldn’t go amiss that the experienced lads did really well yesterday.”
Manchester United’s next outing sees them welcome a mid-table Watford side to Old Trafford on Wednesday evening.
