Luis Suarez backed by Liverpool team-mates for Old Trafford test
This was supposed to be Luis Suarez’s first full season at Liverpool, although the Uruguayan’s eight-match ban means that the striker has been out of action for the best part of two months.

Suarez returned to action on Monday night when appearing as a second-half substitute against Tottenham and his first full appearance might come on Saturday when Liverpool make the short journey to Old Trafford.
The Manchester United supporters are certain to give Suarez a fierce reception, although Glen Johnson believes that his team-mate’s strength of character will ensure that the striker passes the test with flying colours.
“It is a tough place to go Old Trafford. Luis is a strong character and he will try to let his football do the talking,” said Johnson
“He is a fantastic player, he has had a long break now and hopefully he will be fresh and ready to put in a performance at the weekend.
“He is the sort of player we need in the team.”
Martin Kelly is also delighted to have Suarez back and claims the team will get a much-needed boost from the return of the popular forward.
“The crowd gave us a lift when they saw Luis coming on and it’s fantastic to have him back,” said the 21-year-old.
“He’ll be a big help for us over the next few weeks when we’ve got big games coming up and he’ll be there ready for the (Carling Cup) final.”
