Blackburn Rovers owners insist club is not for sale
It’s not the news that Blackburn supporters wanted to read, although it looks as though Venky’s will remain in charge of the Lancashire football club despite being relegated from the Premier League on Monday.

Blackburn’s 1-0 home defeat against Wigan on Monday means that Rovers will be playing in the Championship next season and there has been speculation that the club’s owners will cut their losses and but the club up for sale.
However, when asked if Venky’s wanted to keep control of Blackburn, Venkatesh Rao said: “Yes, it is a company of ours and there is nothing whatsoever in [the speculation]. These allegations are not correct.”
On the matter of fans protesting and criticising the owners, Rao claimed that nobody should be blamed for the relegation.
“We were relegated so naturally they are going to do that,” he said. “We have to come out of this situation, that’s the most important thing. The fans have the right to do what they want.
“It’s bound to happen when someone loses that somebody criticises. We have to come out of this situation. Nobody is to be blamed.”
