Swansea City 1 Man United 4 – David Moyes enjoys first win as Red Devils manager
Manchester United enjoyed a winning start to the 2013/14 football season on Saturday evening with an emphatic 4-1 victory at the Liberty Stadium, with David Moyes seeing his new team coast to victory against the Swans.

After a bright start from the home side, a quick fire double from the visitors really took the game away from Swansea, with Robin van Persie scoring a sublime opener before Danny Welbeck doubled United’s advantage.
City had previously controlled the game, although RVP is once again proving to be worth his weight in gold for the Red Devils, with the Dutchman scoring an equally sumptuous second goal to put the visitors into a 3-0 lead in south Wales.
Wilfried Bony was left on the bench for this contest, although the Ivorian did come on to score a consolation goal for Swansea before Welbeck scored his second goal of the match with an exquisite dink over Michel Vorm after Wayne Rooney had slotted the ball through.
Rooney was a second-half substitute, with Moyes continuing to insist that the forward is not for sale although the player’s body language suggests that all is not well and that he might press for a transfer between now and the end of the month.
Even so, United look in good nick ahead of next weekend’s clash with Chelsea, especially the form of Van Persie who is going for a third consecutive Golden Boot.
