Steve Bruce close to landing Aston Villa’s manager job
Steve Bruce expected to become the next manager of Aston Villa
October 7th, 2016
Aston Villa have been rubbish for quite a long time and Roberto Di Matteo was unable to stop them being rubbish in the Championship this season.
However, the Midlands club have big stacks of cash to challenge for promotion back to the Premier League and it looks like some of that money will be used to hire Steve Bruce as the new manager.
Bruce is out of work after walking away from Hull City last summer, with the experienced manager open to the prospect of taking charge of the Villans.
He has previously managed Birmingham City which means that the Blues fans will be naturally full of hatred for their former gaffer, although Bruce won’t care considering this could be his most lucrative gig to date.
The bookies have Bruce at 2/5 to become the next Villa boss, with number one target David Wagner available at 5/1 although it appears that the German-American will remain at Huddersfield to continue the good work.
Dean Smith and Steve Clarke are a 16/1 chance so you imagine that Bruce could well be in charge by the time that Aston Villa take on Wolves on 15 October.
