Sergio Aguero can end Liverpool FC’s title hopes according to team-mate
Pablo Zabaleta believes that Aguero can fire Manchester City towards the Premier League title on Sunday

Sergio Aguero has once again had a season blighted by injury although it hasn’t stopped the Argentine from scoring 26 goals in all competitions and the forward is back for Sunday’s big game at Anfield.
The 25-year-old’s last goal came at White Hart Lane at the end of January, although Aguero is fighting fit for what looks to be a Premier League title decider, with Pablo Zabaleta backing his compatriot to make all the difference for the run-in.
City still have to visit both Merseyside clubs although the bookmakers have them as title favourites, with Zabaleta believing that Aguero’s return is perfect timing for the final few games of the campaign.
Zabaleta said: “Sergio is fit. He has been training well with the team for a few days now but he was not 100% to play against Southampton, so that is why the manager decided to leave him out and let him be fully ready for the next game against Liverpool.
“It’s a good time for him to come back. I can see why people say it’s similar to Tevez returning – although it’s a different situation. Like with Carlos, it’s great for any team to have the best players back in the team again, particularly at this part of the season. That’s the good news for us. He is an important player and he is going to score goals. He is fast, he is quick. Sometimes we need a player like Sergio.”
Manuel Pellegrini has seen Alvaro Negredo go off the boil in recent weeks, although Edin Dzeko has been a useful spearhead to the attack in Aguero’s absence and the pair are likely to lead the line against a Liverpool side looking for their tenth consecutive Premier League win and one which will continue to propel them to a first title since 1990.
