Kenny Miller opened the scoring during Saturday’s lunchtime clash between the two Old Firm rivals, although the former Celtic striker was left hanging his head in disappointment after missing a brilliant chance to level the scoring at the end of a pulsating clash.

Matches between these rivals rarely disappoint, with Rangers looking to land revenge for a 5-1 hammering at Celtic Park earlier this term and they made the best possible start when Miller broke the deadlock.

However, it was implausible that Celtic wouldn’t score considering how prolific they have been this term and Moussa Dembele was on hand to score an equaliser, sending the visiting supporters into raptures.

Better was to follow as Scott Sinclair fired home a winning goal in the 70th minute, although things could have been different if Miller had managed to score his second of the game.

The ball came through beautifully for the striker although his clumsy shot simply bobbled across the goal and struck the post, with the Gers unable to find another goal to gain a share of the spoils.
