St Georges Day is due to hit UK cinemas on September 7 and tells the story of some “pwoper nawty” London gangsters, Micky Mannock and Ray Collishaw, who learnt their trade in of the city’s top terrace firms.
Unfortunately, things start falling apart when the duo loses a drug shipment belonging to the Russian Mafia and a turf war threatens to tear their empire apart.
To clear their debt, the pair target a potential heist in Berlin – which just so happens to coincide with an England match in Germany on St Georges Day
With the Russians trying to track them down, the pair blend in with the huge super firm that have gathered in the city to see the Three Lions. With the Polizei occupied with keeping the football fans under control, Micky and Ray have one shot at the heist that could save both themselves and everything they’ve ever fought for. Unfortunately, a grass at the heart of the firm has other ideas.
The movie is the directional debut for Frank Harper, formerly of Bend It Like Beckham, Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels and The Football Factory fame, whilst Chris Fairbrass, Vincent Regan, Neil Maskell and Keeley Hazell are all on the cast list.
