There were amazing scenes at the DW Stadium on Saturday afternoon, where Newcastle’s six-game winning run came crashing to an end after Wigan fired four past the Magpies to win by a 4-0 scoreline.

The Latics were home and dry after half an hour thanks to a Victor Moses double followed up by Shaun Moloney’s first half strike, while Franco Di Santo’s goal on the stroke of half-time wrapped things up against Alan Pardew’s men.
Wigan were one of four Premier League sides to manage four goals on Saturday, with Everton firing a quartet of goals past Fulham and Nikica Jelavic helped himself to another double. Marouane Fellaini and Tim Cahill were the other names on the scoresheet.
Meanwhile, there was a highly entertaining contest at the Liberty Stadium where Swansea City raced into a 4-1 lead against Wolves only for the Midlands side to come right back into the match to draw level at 4-4.
There was less incident at The Hawthorns where Aston Villa scraped a goalless draw against West Brom to keep their heads above water, while Bolton Wanderers also got themselves a precious point after a 2-2 draw at Sunderland.
Stoke City and Arsenal also shared the points at the Britannia Stadium, with Liverpool claiming a 3-0 win at Carrow Road thanks to a hat-trick from Luis Suarez. The Uruguayan’s third goal was a sublime lob from just inside the Norwich half.
