Manchester City manager not expecting to sign Robin van Persie
Roberto Mancini has claimed that the chances of signing Arsenal’s star player have receded, with the Italian set to join Manchester United or Juventus instead.

Robin van Persie has made it clear that he wants to leave the Emirates although he remains a Gunner for the time being, with Manchester City thought to be leading the race for his signature.
However, the Dutchman won’t be joining the Premier League champions according to Mancini, who told a press conference: “Van Persie? No, I don’t think he will come here.”
Perhaps the City manager is just managing expectations and City are still in the race for his signature, with the club clearly able to offer the striker a bigger salary than he would earn anywhere else, although it appears that Juventus might win the race.
Juve won the Serie A title last season and are looking to strengthen ahead of their Champions League assault, while United would love to see Van Persie partnering Wayne Rooney in the Red Devils attack.
The Dutchman has one year left on his contract at the Emirates, with Arsene Wenger outlining that he’s still confident of keeping his star man.
