City look to be adding several new faces to their squad on Friday, with Sinclair having been identified as a player that Roberto Mancini wanted at the end of last season and Adam Johnson’s move to Sunderland has finally allowed the deal to happen.
It took a while for City and Swansea to agree a fee for a player who has helped the Welsh club become a Premier League outfit, although Sinclair was delighted to join the Premier League champions.
“I’m just glad everything is settled and that I’m now a City player,” said Sinclair.
“There were times when I thought it might not happen so I’m relieved that I’m here and I can’t wait to get started.
“Playing alongside some of the best players in the world is exciting for me and when you see two Champions League fixtures against Real Madrid on the horizon, it brings it all home.”
It appears that Nigel de Jong will be joining AC Milan although City appear confident of signing Brazilian right-back Maicon from Inter Milan.
