Manchester City claims between three and five new players required
Quite whether Robin van Persie is one of the new arrivals at the Etihad Stadium remains to be seen, although Roberto Mancini is confident that fresh faces will bolster the Manchester City squad before the season starts.

City claimed the Premier League title on goal difference in May, although the task of defending their crown will be a tough one, with Manchester United hungry for revenge and Chelsea having already spent big this summer.
Mancini alludes to the fact that young players are required to help build a team that are successful in the long-term, although Van Persie is clearly admired by the Italian.
Mancini said in an interview televised on Sky Sports News: “We need to work harder than last year and buy the players who can help our team. I’m confident.
“We don’t need big changes, not 10 players like two or three years ago – but we need three, four, five players.
“But they can be young guys for the future because it’s important to put them in the squad and make them good like the players we already have.”
Even so, players like Adam Johnson and Micah Richards might be questioning whether they have a future after spending a good deal of time on the sidelines last term.
