Liverpool 0 Tottenham Hotspur 0 – Reds draw at Anfield yet again
Liverpool went into Monday night’s game as strong favourites to beat Tottenham Hotspur, although the home side were left frustrated by some stout Spurs defending at Anfield as the game ended in a goalless draw.

Harry Redknapp was unable to make it to Merseyside after another day spent at Southwark Crown Court and he will have witnessed Michael Dawson marshalling the visitors’ defence and denying Liverpool any clear-cut scoring opportunities.
Tottenham were far from their best, although they did have a golden chance to claim three points towards the end of the match when Gareth Bale was clean through before failing to beat Jose Reina, although the Welshman had a largely ineffectual night.
Spurs were missing Aaron Lennon, Rafa Van der Vaart and Jermain Defoe, although there fine performances in the midfield from Jake Livermore and Scott Parker.
Luis Suarez was left on the bench by Kenny Dalglish for his long-awaited comeback, with Andy Carroll leading the line and the striker was regularly thwarted by Dawson although Liverpool dominated possession throughout the contest.
Suarez was introduced in the second half although the Uruguayan missed a golden chance to score when heading straight at Brad Friedel and it will be Spurs who are happier with the point which moves them to within five points of Manchester United.
