Hazard picks Chelsea for Prem switch
Well, that was easy. The most earth-shattering transfer of the summer was practically completed with pretty minimal fuss last night, with Eden Hazard announcing that he is set to sign for Chelsea when the transfer window opens.

Hazard, linked with Manchester City, Manchester United and Chelsea, eventually opted for the Champions League winners last night, announcing on Twitter: “I’m signing for the Champions League winner.”
Of course, Chelsea’s suits are keeping schtum about the whole thing, with a club drone droning “As with all transfers, when we have something to announce, we will announce it in the usual way.”
The 21-year-old will sign for around £32m from the French club Lille, after making his decision based on many factors, including how often and where he will play, and how much his Mr 15% can pocket from the deal.
Of course, despite the fact that hardly anyone in the UK watches French football, everybody is now raving about how good this Mr Hazard is. Fans will, however, see him in action on Saturday as he’ll most probably play for Belgium against England. In his defence, he has been the Lique 1 player of the year for the past two years and he scored 17 goals for Lille this season, so he’s probably pretty handy.
Welcome to England, Mr Hazard.
