Aston Villa striker wants hungry manager next season
Darren Bent had had a season to forget, with injury ultimately denying him a place in the England Euro 2012 squad after playing a part in helping the Three Lions to reach the finals stage.

Bent must get himself back into international contention next season by impressing Roy Hodgson and the striker is hoping that Aston Villa appoint a manager who is determined to play attacking football and pick up plenty of wins next term.
“There’s lots of clubs where the manager’s been in charge for a while and you watch the club grow,” the striker told the Birmingham Mail.
“Villa under Martin O’Neill, back in the day, finished sixth three years in a row and were on the up before whatever happened, happened.
“A new manager will bring stability to Aston Villa so that the club can move forward and grow.
“Whoever gets the job I am sure will understand the passion of the club and what that means to the fans.
“He’ll be hungry and understand what it means to the fans.”
Perhaps Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is the man for the job, although the Norwegian isn’t certain to be picked by Randy Lerner and expects other candidates to be interviewed.
