Michael O’Neill on West Brom radar after Tony Pulis is sacked
O’Neill impressive with Northern Ireland and could be ready for first Premier League job
November 20th, 2017
West Brom sit seventeenth in the Premier League table after accruing ten points from their opening twelve matches, with the Baggies struggling to get wins during the current season.
It has led to Tony Pulis getting the heave-ho, with the Welshman leaving The Hawthorns on Monday and Albion will now look to appoint a successor which could be Michael O’Neill.
O’Neill has been outstanding for the Northern Ireland national team including steering his side to the last sixteen stage of Euro 2016 after qualifying with a modest team who missed out on the 2018 World Cup due to a play-off defeat against Switzerland.
Derek McInnes is another name in the running and the Aberdeen boss is doing well north of the border, with Sam Allardyce and Alan Pardew also in the reckoning although perhaps the Midlands club will go for someone a bit different.
