Manchester United hoping to pinch Dani Alves off PSG
Alves set to leave Barcelona and Manchester United keen to sign Brazilian

Dani Alves might be playing his final game for Barcelona on Saturday in the Champions League final, with the right-back debating whether to leave the Nou Camp this summer.
The defender’s contract comes to an end, with Barca seemingly uninterested in offering Alves a new deal which means that either Paris Saint-Germain or Manchester United will land the player.
Alves has been critical of the way Barcelona have handled his future, with PSG looking in the box seat to land the right-back, although Manchester United are hoping to swoop for a player who can still make a big impact at Champions League level.
Ladbrokes make United a 7/2 chance to land Alves although BetVictor go 6/4 about the Brazilian making his way to Old Trafford, with Louis van Gaal hoping he can persuade the aggressive defender to make his way to England.
United would certainly benefit from a high-quality right back in the squad, with Antonio Valencia having deputised there for the majority of last season and Rafael not seen as the long-term answer.
Chris Smalling and Phil Jones can both operate in that position although Alves would make the spot his own and money is seemingly no object for United who can now offer Champions League football to any potential new signings.
Nevertheless, PSG coach Laurent Blanc actually anticipates Alves staying at Barcelona after the Champions League final.
“Dani Alves will not come to PSG,” Blanc said. “I do not think so anyway. He is out of contract but his intention is to extend with Barca.
“It is a game he is playing with his club, he’s awaiting their proposal. It’s nice for the press to have something to talk about, but there has been no contact that I know of.”
