It hasn’t been a happy hunting ground for the Citizens who were unable to take advantage of a man extra after Steven Pienaar had received his marching orders with half an hour left on the clock. Leon Osman had previously put Everton into a 1-0 lead during the first half.

Manchester United were surprisingly unable to score more than one goal against Reading although the solitary Wayne Rooney strike was enough to see the Red Devils storm fifteen points clear at the top of the Premier League.
Arsenal won 2-0 at Swansea to keep alive their hopes of playing Champions League football next season, while Liverpool were dealt a blow at St Mary’s where Southampton came out of the traps flying and won 3-1.
Aston Villa won an important relegation tussle by beating QPR 3-2, with Stoke and West Brom playing out a goalless draw in the other Premier League match of the day.
