Manchester United favourites to sign Radamel Falcao
Falcao could leave Monaco for Man United, Manchester City or Real Madrid today

Radamel Falcao is one of the world’s best strikers and the Colombian could be heading to England today, with Manchester United in pole position to sign the Monaco forward.
Falcao has spent most of the past twelve months on the sidelines after sustaining a long-term injury which forced him to miss the 2014 World Cup, although the 28-year-old is still regarded as a red-hot property.
It is thought that Monaco require a fee of £55 million for Falcao, with the bookies making Manchester United the odds-on favourites to sign the player, although Man City are also short in the betting despite the Financial Fair Play ruling potentially getting in the way.
Bookmaker Sky Bet go 4/5 about Man United landing the Colombian’s signature, with City an 11/8 shot although there is a chance that Real Madrid could land Falcao and odds of 4/1 are available about the European champions.
Arsenal are keen to land a new striker although whether they have the financial clout to compete for the player is thought to be unlikely, with Sky Bet going 9/1 that the Gunners get the deal done.
“We are certainly at not at that standard yet but we shall have to wait and keep believing it will happen,” Van Gaal said after Burnley held United to a goalless draw.
“We will have to see where we are in a month or so. Di María did not look like the world-class player we have seen either, but you cannot expect that straightaway. He has to adapt to a new league, and the team needs time to adapt to his style of playing.”
Falcao would add some more firepower to the United squad, with United having recently splashed the best part of £60 million to land Angel Di Maria as the Red Devils look to strengthen their attacking options.
