Manchester United drop interest in Antoine Griezmann
Griezmann looks unlikely to become a Manchester United player this summer

Money is clearly no object to Manchester United when it comes to signing some of the world’s best players although it appears the Red Devils will fall short in their bid to land Antoine Griezmann.
Griezmann has been linked to United for several months, with the Frenchman thought to be open to a move away from Atletico Madrid this summer. However, The Guardian are among those media outlets suggesting that the English club’s interest has significantly cooled.
It appears as though Jose Mourinho has focused his attention on landing a top-drawer striker rather than a number 10, a position which Griezmann tends to occupy for club and country.
Griezmann has suggested that he might leave Atleti this summer and was quoted as saying: “Today, if I have to move, it will not be a problem for me. It may be England, which is in fashion, Germany, China or the United States, I’m ready to go.
“We finished third in La Liga, it was the objective of the club, but we, the players, want more. Winning titles is what I will look for this summer when deciding on my future.”
It appears that United’s lack of interest in the forward means that remaining with Atletico could be on the cards, with the bookies going 1/6 that Griezmann remains.
