Manchester United consider £35m bid for Cesc Fabregas
While Manchester City have spent close to £100million recruiting new players this summer, the Premier League champions have been noticeably quiet in the transfer market, with David Moyes yet to draft any fresh faces into his squad.

It is clear that Manchester United have made Cesc Fabregas their number one transfer target, although bids of £26m and £30m have been unsuccessful, with the Red Devils now contemplating a final offer of £35m for the Barcelona midfielder.
While new Barca manager Gerardo Martino has stated that Fabregas is not for sale, it is understood that the former Arsenal player is open to a return to England and that he might yet lodge an official transfer request at the Nou Camp in a bid to sign for United.
Moyes yesterday confirmed there was no update on the Fabregas situation, although it appears that Nani has played his final game for Manchester United, with Monaco keen to sign the Portuguese winger.
Monaco’s sporting director Vadim Vasilyev has claimed that Nani has been offered to the French club, although talks have yet to take place between any of the interested parties.
Vasilyev said: “He is a very good player but at the moment there have been no talks. We have already changed our group quite a bit and we also want to offer opportunities to our young players.”
With just one year left on his contract, Nani will be assessed by Moyes this week, with the player having missed the pre-season tour overseas because of a nose operation.
