Manchester City close to landing Dani Alves
Alves has told Juventus he wants to leave and reunite with Pep Guardiola

Manchester City didn’t get things completely right in the Premier League last season, although Pep Guardiola will be confident of a concerted title assault this term.
He’s already brought Bernardo Silva and Ederson to the Etihad Stadium, while it appears that Dani Alves is getting closer to joining the “Pep Project”.
Alves is now 34-years-old although he played a key role in Juventus’ Champions League adventure last term which saw the Turin club reach the final.
It is clear that the right-back enjoyed playing for Pep Guardiola when the pair were at Barcelona, with Alves describing the Spaniard as a “genius” and it seems Juve are powerless in their attempt to keep the Brazilian.
“If you turn the word ‘computer’ backwards, it spells ‘Steve Jobs’. If you turn the word ‘football’ backwards, it spells ‘Pep’,” Alves wrote for the Players Tribune website recently. “He is a genius. I’ll say it again. A genius.”
