Liverpool FC manager issues rallying call ahead of Chelsea match
Jurgen Klopp wants his Reds side to bounce back after three consecutive defeats at Anfield

Liverpool started the season with a bang, although the past few weeks have been a grave disappointment and defeat at home to Chelsea on Tuesday night will signal the end to the Reds’ title charge.
Jurgen Klopp has seen his team lose at home to Swansea City, Southampton and Wolves, with the German hoping to have Sadio Mane back for this all-important clash against a Chelsea side who have stormed clear at the top of the Premier League.
Klopp claims that Liverpool’s season is far from over, although the Reds really need to win against Chelsea who are ten points clear of their rivals at this stage.
“If we are seven points behind Chelsea we will not say that now we go for them – they might win the rest of their games – but we need the points,” the Liverpool manager said. “We cannot waste time or points any more. We never wanted to.
“It’s not about us to say we can catch them. If somebody is seven ahead of us then somebody else is ahead of us – it will be five to Arsenal or whatever. But that gap would obviously make the league that little bit more exciting for a lot of people. We want to go for these three points and that’s enough to be motivated at the highest, highest level.”
