Liverpool and Tottenham sent crashing out of FA Cup by Oldham and Leeds
It was an extraordinary Sunday afternoon of FA Cup football as Brentford came close to beating west London neighbours Chelsea before Leeds and Oldham went one step better and knocked out Premier League clubs.

Liverpool will have red faces to match their shirts after losing 3-2 at Boundary Park, with Martin Skrtel’s early own goal giving the Latics the lead, although Luis Suarez restored parity in the 17th minute before Matt Smith put Oldham back in front before the interval.
Reece Wabara gave Paul Dickov’s team an unlikely 3-1 lead just after half-time although a deflected Joe Allen effort with ten minutes left set up a grandstand finish, although Liverpool were unable to find the equaliser.
Meanwhile, Leeds United supporters saw their team beat a third Premier League team this season after a 2-1 win against Tottenham Hotspur.
Andre Villas-Boas sent out a strong team for the match at Elland Road although Luke Varney broke the offside trap to score his team’s opener before Ross McCormack doubled Leeds’ lead before Clint Dempsey scored a consolation effort.
Brentford very nearly made it a hat-trick of shocks as the Bees twice took the lead against Chelsea through Marcello Trotta and a Harry Forrester penalty.
However, Oscar scored the first equaliser and Fernando Torres found the net with minutes remaining to ensure that Chelsea’s hopes of winning this season’s FA Cup remain very much alive.
