Jose Mourinho has his eye on five defenders for Manchester United
Mourinho is looking at five players for a club he isn't guaranteed to manage

It has been reported that Jose Mourinho has chosen five defenders which he would like to get his hands on should he be handed the reins at Old Trafford at the end of the season.
The former boss at Stamford Bridge who was sacked by Chelsea earlier this season, he has been widely tipped to be Louis van Gaal’s replacement at the end of the current campaign, although the pressure on the current United manager was eased somewhat following their much-needed Premier League victory over Arsenal at the weekend.
Van Gaal has certainly had a poor season, however following wins over Shrewsbury Town in the FA Cup and a Europa League victory against FC Midtjylland, the Ducthman was confident that a win over Arsenal would put him in a much stronger position. Well it probably has.
Despite this, Mourinho remains a contender for the hot-seat at Old Trafford and the Portuguese manager is ready to splash the cash, his wishlist including defenders Raphael Varane, Marc Bartra, John Stones, Marquinhos and Aymeric Laporte.
The Red Devils have been spending big of late with over £300million spent on transfers under Van Gaal and his predecessor David Moyes.
