Jose Mourinho backing Manchester City and Arsenal in Champions League
Chelsea manager thinks the Gunners can win at the Allianz Arena and the same applies to City when they go to the Nou Camp

On Tuesday night, Arsenal are back on German soil where they will look to repeat last season’s 2-0 win at the Allianz Arena which will keep alive their hopes of winning this season’s Champions League.
The Gunners are now hot favourites to win the FA Cup following their 4-1 win against Everton coupled with a shock 2-1 defeat for Manchester City against Wigan, although their forthcoming assignment against Bayern Munich looks a tough one.
Trailing 2-0 from the first leg, it would take the performance of the season to go through although Jose Mourinho is among those who believe Arsenal qualifying is possible, with the Chelsea boss also of the belief that City can overturn the same scoreline against Barcelona in the Nou Camp.
He said: “Can’t City win in Barcelona? Barcelona lost against Valladolid. And lost at home against Valencia. So, why can’t they win?
“Arsenal, at Bayern, can they win 2-0 and go to extra-time? Difficult. Probably the most difficult, but they can.”
It looks a particularly tall order for Arsenal considering they face a Bayern team bang in form and the visitors will be missing Jack Wilshere, while Aaron Ramsey is still recovering from injury.
Mourinho also commented on the fact that Liverpool are still in the title race despite trailing Chelsea by seven points, with the Reds not being in Europe cited as a big advantage.
“When we speak about Champions League and the title race we have to speak about Liverpool,” Mourinho said.
“Since the beginning of the season they have one match every week. They rest, they prepare, they recover, they prepare, they play, they have day off. This is a big, big, big advantage.”
