And the Oscar goes to…. Ryūji Bando
Here at Football Scores, we’re always on the lookout for moments of idiocy from players in the AFC Champions League and it seems that we have found some, courtesy of Cerezo Osaka forward Ryūji Bando.

The moment of idiocy in question comes from Osaka’s clash with South Korean side Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors in the AFC Champions League quarter final first leg.
Bando, in the fetching pink and blue stripes, is guilty of what is undoubtedly the worst act of simulation that we have witnessed on a football field. It’s even more laughable than Marcelo’s attempts to win a penalty for Real Madrid in last night’s Champions League tie in Zargreb.
Still, Bando scored and Osaka won the game 4-3, so who’s laughing now?
