“I’m still not 100% fit”, says Danny Welbeck
"it is difficult being out for so long and coming straight back into the team"

Gunners striker Danny Welbeck has admitted that he still has quite a long way to go before he can count himself as fully fit following his long-term injury.
He scored a winner late in the day against Premier League leaders Leicester City last month, this marking his first appearance in almost twelve months and the 26-year-old has taken part in every Arsenal outing since then.
He played for 85 minutes in the weekend clash with Tottenham Hotspur, however he later admitted that he found it difficult in the North London derby.
“Yes, it is difficult being out for so long and coming straight back into the team,” he told reporters.
“With the intensity at Spurs I found it quite difficult but I try and give my best every single game and see how it goes.
“It is going to take a while I think. I don’t feel as sharp as I did before my operation and I don’t know how long it will take but I’m getting fitter and stronger each week.”
The Gunners’ title ambitions have taken a hammering of late with the last four Premier League outings returning just a single point. Arsene Wenger’s men now sit third in the league table, some eight points behind Leicester City and three adrift of arch-rivals Spurs following the 2-2 draw at the weekend.
