Harry Redknapp ready to sign Darren Bent for QPR
Aston Villa travel to Loftus Road on Saturday although Darren Bent is once again unlikely to feature in the Villans squad amidst fears that he could have played his final game for the Midlands club.

Bent arrived from Sunderland for a record-breaking £18 million although it appears he has clashed with Paul Lambert to the extent that the former England striker wasn’t even on the bench for Tuesday’s win over Reading.
It appears that QPR will be one of the clubs chasing the player’s signature in January, with Harry Redknapp ready to patch up his differences with a player he publicly criticised when the pair worked together at Tottenham.
“I like Darren. I’ve got no problems with Darren Bent,” Redknapp said. “I just made a comment that maybe I shouldn’t, when I said I think my missus would have scored when he missed a header that day. I can laugh at myself, I don’t mind.
“It was obviously difficult, he didn’t like it and that was sort of it really, and within no time he decided that he didn’t want to stay. But I think he’s a good player. I’d like to have Darren Bent available, believe you me. He can score goals. I’ve got no problem with Darren as a boy or as a player. I think he’s a good player.”
