Spurs striker Harry Kane believes that his side can successfully bounce back from last night’s 1-0 defeat to local rivals West Ham.
A win at the Boleyn Ground would have seen Tottenham leapfrog current leaders Leicester City at the top of the Premier League table ahead of the crunch clash with Arsenal this weekend at White Hart Lane.
The Hammers secured all three points last night, courtesy of Michail Antonio who scored the only goal of the game with a header in the seventh minute to condemn Spurs to their second away defeat of the season.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side host the Gunners at White Hart Lane on Saturday lunchtime and Harry Kane is confident that his side can bounce back by clinching a valuable three points.
“There’s a long way to go in the league and we’re staying focused. Of course we have enough energy for the rest of the season. We’re one of the fittest teams in the league, so if anyone can cope with it, we can,” Kane said to Sky Sports.
“It’s another big derby game on Saturday and we’re looking forward to it. We’ve been good at home in recent times so we’ve just got to keep playing the way we have. We’re confident. We feel we can beat anyone in the league.”
Leicester City were the only one of the top four in the Premier League to avoid defeat in their midweek outings, however Spurs would go top at the weekend should they win against Arsenal and Leicester City lose against Watford at Vicarage Road.
