Gareth Bale finally set to sign for Real Madrid according to AVB
Most football fans will be relieved to hear that Gareth Bale is edging closer to a move to the Bernabeu after a summer of speculation linking the Welshman to Real Madrid.

A few weeks ago, chairman Daniel Levy was categorically stating that Bale was not for sale despite a reported £86million bid on the table for the winger, although it appears as though Tottenham are now prepared to sell.
Andre Villas-Boas was quizzed on Bale on Wednesday ahead of his team’s Europa League match on Thursday night, with AVB admitting that the move was close to happening, although there was also discontent with the player’s decision not to report for training while the move was being agreed.
“It could happen very, very soon,” said Villas-Boas. “It’s a dream move for him. This [transfer] can happen in a different way … [but] Tottenham will accept most likely the biggest transfer in world football.
“He is involved in a big transfer move to Real Madrid and in the end if it happens, we wish him all the best, but the fact that he hasn’t turned up is not the correct behaviour,” added Villas-Boas. “That is the position they chose to take and it’s up to the club to decide if it’s a fineable offence.”
Bale will care little about any fine from Spurs considering he will be handsomely paid by Real Madrid upon joining, while he also stands to receive around 5% of any transfer fee which would make him considerably richer.
