Gareth Bale claims La Liga is more exciting than the Premier League

Gareth Bale has only been a Real Madrid player for a year, although the Welshman hasn’t required much time to adjust to the Spanish way of life and is now looking forward to building on a successful first season.
Bale produced some impressive performances for Los Merengues last season, including the Copa del Rey final where he scored a fine individual goal, while the forward also notched the winner in the Champions League final against Atletico Madrid.
After adjusting to life in Spain, Bale now claims that the Spanish league is the best in the world in terms of excitement and can’t wait to get going with team-mate James Rodriguez.
“The Spanish League is the most exciting,” the Welshman said.
“The world’s top players play there. Barcelona or Real Madrid are always there near the Champions League final or winning it.
“The Premier League is a great league but we are attracting the best players to La Liga. It is great to be involved in it.
“James is a great signing,” Bale said.
“He has shown what quality he has in the World Cup and hopefully he can produce for Real Madrid what he did for Colombia.
“It’s for the manager to decide what system we play and who plays.
“You need to perform well to keep your place. Everyone knows that.”
Some would argue that while Barcelona and Real Madrid are attracting the biggest stars, the Premier League is an altogether more attractive proposition, with clubs like Manchester United, Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester City and Liverpool currently in the process of attracting big names.
