Everton FC closing on Sam Allardyce after two players leave training
Sam Allardyce odds-on to replace Ronald Koeman, with Schneiderlin and Mirallas told to leave training
November 6th, 2017
It’s all happening at Everton at the moment. Big money spent on players, big disappointments on the pitch, the departure of Ronald Koeman and the departure of the Toffees from European competition.
David Unsworth is still in caretaker charge and saw Everton fortunately beat Watford on Sunday, a result that was achieved without Morgan Schneiderlin and Kevin Mirallas who were told to stay away from training after illustrating a slack attitude.
It appears that the pair weren’t showing enough commitment on Saturday as the team prepared for the game, although the imminent arrival of Sam Allardyce will probably change that situation.
Allardyce is odds-on to replace Koeman and perhaps they need a disciplinarian of that ilk right now, with Sean Dyche the only other manager seemingly in the running although the Burnley manager might have to wait for his big opportunity.
