Roberto Mancini looking forward to Real Madrid match on Tuesday
It’s hard to imagine a tougher start to the Champions League group stage than a trip to the Bernabeu although that’s the task that faces Manchester City on Tuesday night when they tackle Real Madrid in their first game.

City claimed a 1-1 draw at Stoke on Saturday and will now try to land a result against the Spanish champions in Madrid, with Roberto Mancini relishing the chance to pit his wits against Jose Mourinho.
Mancini said: “Real Madrid are one of the best teams in the world.
“To play the first game away will be very tough but at the same time I think it will be a fantastic game for everyone.”
Sergio Aguero played no part at the Britannia Stadium on Saturday but could well start alongside Carlos Tevez for this contest, with City unlikely to play too defensively against Real Madrid even if Cristiano Ronaldo might need special treatment.
When asked if the Argentinian could be available, Mancini said: “Sergio has had one week working with the team, I think so.”
Scott Sinclair made his debut against the Potters and hopes to be involved on Tuesday. He said: “I’m just settling now and hopefully I can progress game by game.
“I’d been waiting around and it was a long, stressful few weeks before signing but that’s all gone now and I’m here and just looking to improve.
“Obviously there are a few other new players in. Everyone’s just looking to settle in, get a feel for all the lads.
“Hopefully now we can keep progressing.”
