Real Madrid 3 Manchester City 2 – Ronaldo steals win for Real
Manchester City were dramatically beaten in the Bernabeu Stadium on Tuesday night, with Roberto Mancini’s team twice taking the lead before Cristiano Ronaldo scored a 90th minute winner to bank three points for Real Madrid.

This was a contest largely dominated by Jose Mourinho’s side although City were holding them at bay and went ahead in the 69th minute when Yaya Toure burst clear and squared the ball for Edin Dzeko to fire past Iker Casillas.
Real were awoken from their slumber and Marcelo produced a spectacular finish to level the scoreline although City continued to move forward in numbers and Aleksandr Kolarov’s free-kick evaded everyone to find the back of the net to put the visitors in front once more.
However, the English champions were unable to cling on to their lead yet again, with Karim Benzema looking as though he would rescue a point with a composed finish past Hart before Ronaldo skinner Pablo Zabaleta and fired home to send Mourinho into raptures.
City will reflect on what might have been, having executed a near-perfect game plan against an out-of-sorts Real Madrid side, although the Spanish side were able to recover each time they fell behind and Ronaldo is a match winner that any team would want in their side.
