Chelsea won’t win Champions League claims Jose Mourinho
There were scenes of celebration and fighting talk from Frank Lampard following Chelsea’s 3-1 aggregate win over Benfica on Wednesday night, although one of their former managers claims the semi-final stage is as far as the club will reach.

Jose Mourinho was unable to win the Champions League with the Blues and he’s not expecting Roberto di Matteo to achieve this either, with Chelsea facing Barcelona for a place in the final.
Speaking to Telemadrid, Mourinho explained why he didn’t think his former club had a prayer against Barca, saying: “Because they are very good. Barcelona aren’t the favourites, they are super-favourites.”
He added: “Let me be honest, I don’t think the final will be a Real Madrid/Chelsea final. It could be Bayern or Barcelona, I just don’t think it will be Real Madrid v Chelsea and we know why.”
Mourinho saw his team score five goals as they beat APOEL Nicosia 8-2 on aggregate and their semi-final with Bayern Munich looks a lot tougher to call, with the German side comfortably qualifying at the hands of Marseille.
“Bayern is a very powerful opponent,” Mourinho said. “It is a team I know well as it is almost the same side that I played when coach of Inter Milan in the Champions League final two years ago and they have great individual players.
“The players and myself are looking forward to what should be a great semi-final.”
