Chelsea FC are a global superpower claims Di Matteo
It has been a mixed season for the Blues who could yet win the FA Cup and Champions League, although triumphing in the latter might be the only way they get into this competition next season.

Even so, Roberto di Matteo has claimed today that Chelsea are a big deal when it comes to European football, stating that the west London club are one of the biggest on the Continent despite the fact that they trail Manchester United by 23 points in the Premier League.
“If you look at the last decade of this club, it’s become a domestic and international force,” he said.
“It’s been always fighting for domestic trophies and titles, and internationally.
“It’s never quite happened internationally, but I don’t think that would take any shine off this club.”
Ramires has backed up this claim by stating that Chelsea are talked about in the same hushed tones as Real Madrid and Barcelona when he is in his native Brazil.
“In Brazil, when they talk about Chelsea, they do talk about them being in the same level and class as Barcelona and Real,” he said.
“There may be a weight because they haven’t won the Champions League so far, but that doesn’t detract from the reality that it’s a great club.”
