Arsenal manager excited by Champions League clash with AC Milan
Arsenal were punished for finishing second in their Champions League group last season, with the draw for the last sixteen pairing them with Barcelona.

However, the Gunners were barely rewarded for topping the section this time around, with AC Milan standing between them and a place in the quarter final.
It is the tie of the round, with Milan having won Serie A last season and looking to go a long way in the Champions League this season, with Tottenham having eliminated them twelve months ago.
Arsene Wenger admitted his team have a difficult task getting past the Rossoneri, although the Frenchman is looking forward to the challenge of trying to beat Milan.
“It is a difficult draw but an exciting one and they could say exactly the same thing I suppose,” Wenger told the club’s website. “It is a 50:50. So let’s make sure we continue to improve until February. Then we can take our chance with full power and belief.”
Arsenal will draw comfort from the fact that they have generally performed well against Italian sides in the Champions League, not to mention the fact that they got the better of Milan during the 2007-8 season.
“Yes, we have good memories at San Siro,” Wenger said. “As I say, it is an interesting draw. Ideally, it is a draw for one round later but you take them when they happen. There is not much more to say really – everybody knows Milan, everybody knows Arsenal. We have been in the Champions League for many years and both sides play positive football.”
