Arsenal to overcome RVP rest?

So Arsenal might be resting a handful of players tonight for their trip to Athens, but 10/3 to beat Olympiakos tonight? That seems high to us.

Arsenal to overcome RVP rest?

With Arsenal already through to the knock-out stages of the Champions League, Arsene Wenger will give some of his star players the night off in preparation for bigger challenges ahead.

The likes of Van Persie, Gervinho and Ramsey will get a chance to put their feet up whilst the likes of Frimpong, Oxlade-Chamberlain and Eastmond will get a chance to strut their stuff, in what you would probably consider to be Arsenal’s “Carling Cup” team. There will be some experience, with Yossi Benayoun, Johan Djourou, Thomas Vermaelen, Andrey Arshavin and Andre Santos all likely to start, so what about the 10/3 price?

Well, we understand the reasons why. There’s no RVP and when there’s no RVP, Arsenal don’t look that good a proposition.

But Arsenal showed last week that the kids are alright, as they put in a very credible performance against a much stronger Manchester City side in the Carling Cup. Olympiakos, whilst still having something to play for tonight against the Gunners, still aren’t as strong as that Man City side and a talented Arsenal side should enjoy the experience of a pressure-free European night.

That’s why we think that the 10/3 is a little generous from the layers but even if you want the security of the draw no bet, you can still get 9/4 with Betfred and Stan James.
