Diego Costa denies feud with Jose Mourinho
Costa admits he needs to improve for Chelsea as the Blues struggle domestically

Chelsea are into the Champions League last sixteen, although they continue to struggle in the Premier League and Jose Mourinho has practically admitted that a top four spot is out of the question.
In a recent goalless draw at White Hart Lane, Diego Costa appeared to be annoyed with a place on the sub’s bench and actually tossed his bib in the direction of his manager after being overlooked.
Mourinho insisted after the match that there was no problem between the pair and the forward admits that the episode is in the past. Costa is also looking to improve his form and help Chelsea pull away from the bottom of the Premier League.
“The thing with the bib is done, it’s over,” Costa said. “I was wrong, but the relationship with Mourinho is great, we get along very well. There are things that I have to control, but it was an impulse. In no way was it to hit him. If I threw the bib at him it wouldn’t have missed because he was very close.
“I have to improve,” said Costa, whose most recent goal was on 21 November in the win over Norwich. “The start of the season hasn’t been good for me, neither in play or in goals.”
Chelsea still managed to qualify for the Champions League last sixteen and their progress as winners means they avoid several strong teams in the draw for the next round.
