Chelsea FC midfielder claims the “season is being fucked”
Cesc Fabregas unhappy with Chelsea’s start to the season and hopes for improved fortunes after the international break

Chelsea’s players return to Stamford Bridge this week, with the team sitting sixteenth in the table and preparing for Saturday’s home clash with Norwich City.
Normally, a fixture like this would be regarded as a home banker although the fact that the champions have won just two of their six matches at the Bridge this term means that nothing can be taken for granted.
Similarly, Chelsea have only won one of their six away games and Cesc Fabregas admits that he’s been losing sleep over this poor form which means the London club would be sucked into a dogfight if this were to continue.
“The season is being fucked,” Fàbregas told Spanish media. “The results have not done justice to what we do on the pitch. We are doing things better but we’ve had no luck. We have to start winning now.
“I cannot support him (Jose Mourinho) more than I am doing,” said the Spanish midfielder. “I am always saying he deserves it, 100%. We are not playing well but that does not mean we are not in favour of the manager or something like that.
“We want the club to be at the top and, someone like Mourinho who is having difficult times and the players, then you have to support each other and give your best.
“It has been really difficult. For me, the manager and some other players, we have always been lucky enough to play for big teams. Always trying to get to the top and always be fighting for things. In the Champions League we are still there.
“The FA Cup has not even started yet so it is all about the League, trying to be as high as we can around Christmas because then it will be a very, very tough time.”
Fàbregas said he was having difficulty sleeping at night. “Sometimes when I am at home, in bed, I wonder. You have your own thoughts and the manager will have his thoughts about what is going on and it is all about talking about things and putting this right all together.”
