Chelsea FC boss wants to play PSG in the Champions League
Jose Mourinho claims a trip to Paris would suit his Chelsea team and dismisses the prospect of Basel being an easy draw

Chelsea have waltzed through their Champions League group and will now be in the winners’ pot for Monday’s draw, although Jose Mourinho is wary of whoever their opponents will be.
The Blues can’t face Arsenal, Manchester City or Schalke, although there are five teams who can make life difficult for the Premier League leaders and Mourinho actually feels that PSG wouldn’t be a bad draw.
Perhaps it’s a case of mind games given that Paris Saint-Germain ran Barcelona close in their group, with Mourinho also making out that Basel would not be an easy tie although he must secretly be hoping for the Swiss champions.
He said: “Paris would be good, because it’s easy to travel for us, for the fans. It would be good, but we can’t decide the draw.
“The hardest? Everyone is hard. You think Basel is easy? We lost twice against them last year. They beat Liverpool and three years ago they beat Manchester United.
“Leverkusen, Shakhtar… I don’t think there are easy teams at that moment. I don’t think any of the big teams is out of the Champions League now. Maybe Liverpool, but all the teams that want to win the competition, they’re all in the competition.
“Season after season you repeat this; normally everyone is in the last 16. Everybody’s there, so the Champions League starts now.”
Indeed, the last sixteen draw will include the top teams, with Real Madrid and Bayern Munich the favourites with the bookies although Barcelona, Chelsea and even Manchester City will have aspirations of winning the competition.
