Ashley Cole lashes out at FA on Twitter
Ashley Cole could be in trouble with the Football Association after sending an offensive tweet following the FA’s verdict that John Terry’s defence was ‘implausible, improbable and contrived’.

Cole was part of the Terry defence and clearly took umbrage with the FA criticising the player for discrepancies in his version of events, tweeting the following on Friday afternoon: “Hahahahaa, well done #fa I lied did I, #BUNCHOFTWATS.” He later deleted the tweet.
The England defender now faces a fine or a ban for several games, with Cole having supported Terry ever since the former England captain was charged with making racist comments to Anton Ferdinand last year.
The Chelsea manager, Roberto Di Matteo, said they would look into the matter: “We’ll look at the tweet and then we’ll see. Apart from this, I don’t think the players are out of control.” Meanwhile, a club statement emphasised that Cole did not accept the criticism made of him by the commission: “Ashley co-operated at all times with the FA and stands by the evidence that he gave and does not accept the criticism that has been made.”
