Arsenal midfielder: “We know we can beat Chelsea on Saturday”
Arsenal looking to win Saturday’s London derby and extinguish their rivals’ title hopes

Defeat for Chelsea against Arsenal and it’s surely all over for Jose Mourinho’s team when it comes to retaining their Premier League title.
While that sounds like a kneejerk statement, a fourth defeat for the Blues would not only see them lose ground on their title rivals but it would also indicate that the squad simply doesn’t have the ability to compete this season.
Nevertheless, a 4-0 win for Chelsea against Maccabi on Wednesday will have raised spirits in the camp, while Arsenal were surprisingly beaten in Zagreb by a modest Dinamo team who had been rank outsiders to win the game.
Mikel Arteta was in the side that lost this game although the Spaniard has issued a rallying call ahead of the lunchtime encounter on Saturday, claiming that his team have more than enough about them to beat Chelsea.
“We’re all upset with the Champions League result and obviously it doesn’t help our preparations for Chelsea,” admitted Arteta.
“We wanted a good result as we had two wins in our pocket before we went to Croatia and it was important to make it three. So now we have to react quickly and we are usually quite good at that. Chelsea is a big match.
“We’ve only 48 hours to recover and prepare because we did not get back from Croatia until 4am on Thursday.
“So we will try to get a good sleep and develop a positive attitude because now we know we can beat Chelsea.”
