Arsenal foiled with £30m raid of Luis Suarez by Liverpool
Luis Suarez recently stated that his future lies away from England although that hasn’t stopped Arsenal from lodging a bid for the Uruguayan.

According to the latest reports, the Gunners have had a £30m bid rejected for the striker, with Arsenal having apparently made the offer at the end of last week.
Quite whether Arsene Wenger actually wants to sign Suarez is another matter and this move could be seen as an attempt to force the hand of Real Madrid who are holding out for an improved offer for striker Gonzalo Higuain.
Higuain is reported to be on the verge of a move from the Bernabeu to the Emirates, although Arsenal and Real Madrid have failed to agree terms for the striker who has an impressive hit rate for club and country.
Liverpool remain hopeful that Suarez will remain at Anfield despite recent statements from the player, although a ten-match ban imposed for biting Branislav Ivanovic was thought to have been the straw that broke the camel’s back. The forward has also bemoaned the invasion of privacy by the British media.
